The New York Giants are one of the NFL’s most storied franchises, founded in 1925 by Tim Mara with an investment of just $500. As one of the league’s cornerstone teams, the Giants quickly established themselves as a dominant force in professional football, capturing their first NFL Championship in 1927. Over the decades, the Giants have been central to the growth and popularity of the NFL, especially in the nation’s largest media market.

Today, the Giants play their home games at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey, which they share with the New York Jets. Competing in the NFC East division, the team’s colors are blue, red, and white, and their passionate fan base proudly calls them “Big Blue.” Known for their tradition, grit, and iconic moments, the Giants remain one of the most recognizable franchises in American sports.

The franchise has been home to some of the greatest players and coaches in NFL history, including Lawrence Taylor, Frank Gifford, Michael Strahan, Eli Manning, and head coach Bill Parcells. The Giants’ legacy includes multiple championship eras: their early NFL titles in the 1920s–1950s, their resurgence under Parcells in the 1980s and 1990s, and their dramatic Super Bowl victories in the 2000s.

Among their most memorable achievements are four Super Bowl titles (XXI, XXV, XLII, and XLVI). Two of those came in stunning upsets of the New England Patriots, including the unforgettable 2007 season when the Giants, led by Eli Manning and a fierce pass rush, ended New England’s bid for a perfect season in Super Bowl XLII.
