The Baltimore Ravens are one of the NFL’s newer franchises, founded in 1996 after the Cleveland Browns relocated to Baltimore. Despite their relatively short history, the Ravens have quickly established themselves as one of the league’s most successful and respected teams, known for their dominant defenses and hard-nosed style of play.

The team plays its home games at M&T Bank Stadium in Baltimore, Maryland, as part of the AFC North division. The Ravens’ colors are purple, black, and gold, and their fan base, known as the “Ravens Flock,” has become one of the most passionate in the NFL. Legendary linebacker Ray Lewis, along with stars like Ed Reed, Jonathan Ogden, and Terrell Suggs, helped shape the Ravens’ identity as a franchise built on toughness and resilience.

The Ravens have already captured two Super Bowl titles. Their first came in the 2000 season, when one of the greatest defenses in NFL history carried them to victory in Super Bowl XXXV over the New York Giants. The second came in the 2012 season, when quarterback Joe Flacco led the team to Super Bowl XLVII, defeating the San Francisco 49ers in a dramatic matchup remembered as the “Harbaugh Bowl.” These championships cemented the Ravens’ place as one of the NFL’s premier organizations.
