The Arizona Cardinals are the oldest continuously run franchise in the National Football League (NFL), tracing their roots back to 1898 in Chicago. Originally known as the Morgan Athletic Club, the team became the Chicago Cardinals before moving to St. Louis in 1960 and then settling in Arizona in 1988. This long journey across three cities makes the Cardinals one of the league’s most historic teams.

Today, the Cardinals play their home games at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona, as part of the NFC West division. The team’s colors are cardinal red, white, and black, and their loyal fan base is known as the “Red Sea.” Over the years, the Cardinals have seen legendary players like Larry Fitzgerald, Pat Tillman, and Aeneas Williams leave a lasting mark on the franchise.

One of the team’s greatest modern achievements came in the 2008 season, when quarterback Kurt Warner led the Cardinals to Super Bowl XLIII. Although they fell just short against the Pittsburgh Steelers, the run solidified the Cardinals’ place in modern NFL history.
